Chap. 4- Cubism

Analytic Cubism

In this type of cubism, three-dimensional objects and elements; or parts of objects are represented as hard edged abstracted shapes. The collection of these hard edged shapes into a working whole takes on the appearance of the represented subject.
























Synthetic Cubism

An artist “synthesizes” or creates an artificial appearance of an object out of a mix of abstract parts. This type of art is often done with what some have called collage. Synthetic cubism was a pioneering force in the creation of a new medium of college.
